Smooth Start-up of the New Salt Lake County Emissions Inspection Program Management Contract
On April 1, 2006 SysTech International started the operation of the vehicle emission inspection program in Salt Lake County. The Inspection and Maintenance Program Management Contract includes the development, installation and maintenance of a new Vehicle Inspection Database (VID) System, in-field service of over 320 BAR 97 emissions analyzers and auditing support for the Salt Lake County.

James Brande, Director of Air Pollution Control at the Salt Lake Valley Health Department stated: “Based on SysTech’s proposal and contractual agreements, they set high standards for the start-up, implementation, operation and partnership in the Salt Lake County I/M Program. SysTech agreed to maintain the original program start date despite a delay in contract signing due to no fault of theirs. SysTech met the extremely compressed startup time schedule of three months. The startup was a totally seamless transition from our previous contractor and went virtually unnoticed by the public and our 340 I/M program stations.
