SysTech Wins Contract to Operate Inspection/Maintenance
Program Referee Facility for the Municipality of Anchorage,
Alaska
SysTech International has been awarded a contract by the Municipality of Anchorage, Department of Health and Human Services to manage and operate the city's official I/M Referee Facility.
Starting January 1, 2010, SysTech will provide and staff a new facility with highly qualified automotive technicians who will
supply valuable services to the motoring public and vehicle inspection businesses throughout the Municipality.
The Referee Facility will resolve disputes by performing tests for vehicle owners who disagree with the findings of a local
I/M Station. The Referee Facility will also be responsible for the inspection of certain vehicles which are not allowed to be
inspected at an I/M Station, such as those which have non-standard engines. In addition, the Referee Facility will conduct
specialized testing and vehicle modifications as directed by the Municipality.
SysTech employees will also provide I/M program support services at the Referee Facility including proctoring hands-on
tests to applicants who wish to become Certified I/M Technicians, providing I/M training workshops and conducting
Quality Assurance Audits at local I/M facilities. SysTech's national call center will support the Referee Facility by
acting as an information resource for I/M technicians in Anchorage.
SysTech was selected by competitive procurement. The contract period is two years with three one-year extension options.

The contract calls for SysTech to staff, manage and maintain the official Referee Facility and data collection system
